baboonsandmoons ORCUS is a master of cathartic synth. There is never a lack of resolution in any song. Gorgeous work. Favorite track: The Boundless Desert of Karak-tul.

Grackle Pyramid remains one of my favorite of Orcus’s work. I really enjoyed getting to spend more time with it as I made the cover, especially delving into the story that goes with it. Each track builds, culminating originally with “A Pyramid of Black Stone.” The album is desolate, lonely, and mysterious, punctuated by grand and imposing synth. I listened to this portion of the HDK release more times than I can count, and cannot wait to spend even more time with it and the new bonus tracks. Favorite track: A Pyramid of Black Stone.

gray friar as is true with all of orcus' releases, this album presents thoughtful compositions steeped in captivating atmospheres. Favorite track: The Lone Traveller Wanders Forth (Bonus Track).
